Victorias current project - Action Beaver
Here's a review from NOFI Magazine:
ACTION BEAVER "Green Eggs And Glam" CD Demo
reviewed by Chris Beyond
Here is another CD I lost and finally found (among a whole batch), so this review is a few months overdue. Anyway, I liked a strange little band from New York transplanted to L.A. called Sisters Grimm. I met them when I was working at that record store on Melrose when they would come in all the time to drop off their flyers. Sisters Grimm were fronted by these glamed out twin girls who rocked out to Ramones style music and left audiences dazed. I don't know what happened to the band over the last couple years (but I've seen "something" about them on the internet), but from what I understand, they are no more. I saw former Sister Grimm Victoria while driving home late last year and she told me that she's got a new project now and here it is. While it has some heavy metal moments, this is actually a nice little demo. It reminds me of a spiritual cousin to Weezer's "Pinkerton". There is a guy that also sings on the album (about half the songs) and he has a nice voice. I wonder if "It Was Fun (But Now We're Done)" is about Victoria's split with her sister from Sisters Grimm. I like the samples of the weird guy calling their answering machine. Get this demo (I'm not sure how you can though) for a long night of club-hopping.

Introduction
The Sisters Grimm were a late 90s band from Brooklyn, NYC, who were played trashy hard-edged rock'n'roll, and were compared to the Runaways.
In addition to fronting their band, the enchanting twins Marissa and Victoria Stern were the scenestresses of the East Village. They worked nightly at their Candy N' Coatcheck at rock club Coney Island High, and were often spotted up front and center at hot local club shows checking out the bands. They were also responsible for the now famous Rock N' Roll Dating Game. In 1999, they moved to Los Angeles, and decided to combine their musical endeavours with a sideline as a porn double-act, which brought them even more notoriety, and generated a new wave of interest in their music.
This blog is intended as an archive for the gorgeous and talented Sisters Grimm, and will feature all their music, photos and history. Hopefully it finally helps get them the recognition they deserve.
If anybody has any more links, music, pictures, news and information on the girls, please share.
